Author Amrita Gandhi is a television anchor, producer and former travel show host who when on the royal beat, visited dozens of palaces, staying as the house guest of royal families all over India.

The palaces may have been big or small, famous or forgotten but the people she met and the stories she heard were always larger than life.

From her royal adventures sprang this book of children's fiction in the imaginary kingdom of Bagradoo, that she hopes will thrill and entertain young readers the world over.

Amrita has a Masters and Bachelors degree in Anthropology from the UK and lives in San Diego, California with her family.
